Fantasy Faire 2012

Here's some pictures from my trip around Fantasy Faire last night! Very cool place!

After two days, build two is ready. I call it Shades and if you'd like a copy just let me know.


It's only 18 prims, artsy and elegant, it's a very open concept design. 


One day, I'll buy a bigger piece of land and do pretty pictures of it, for now, I hope you like!

Got lots to do today. 


Got several RL things going on as well as Fantasy Faire, getting my photo ready for this week's 52 W.o. C challenge, various hunts to do, and, of course, finishing my new build! 


I think I'll go to Wear Gray for a Day event to find something for Luna's challenge. I'm sure it'll be the perfect place to find what I'm looking for.


Also, while making a home is a lot more easier than I thought, it's very time consuming. And, a builder's grid is a MUST have if you're gonna make homes.

I did it!

I have become a builder!!! I can't believe how long it took me to start doing this! it's fun and MUCH more easy then I thought it would be! Also, sculpties are MUCH more easy to use then I ever thought they would be! 

Here's the second house I made! It's called Blue and Grey and it's helped me learn a lot about working with prims and textures. If anyone wants a free copy (it's only like 17 prims, or so, and has 2 rooms), hit me up in-world, I'll be happy to share! Speaking of sharing, my nephew just shared something with me, and I'm gonna share it with you, try saying "toy boat" three times real fast. Let me know your results!

I am a builder!!!!

Finally started learning how to make things in SL. Look here's my first seatable object and my first skybox! If anyone wants a free copy just hit me up in world! *proud of myself*

25L Tuesdays RULE!!!

So, on Tuesdays there's a grid wide sale called "25L Tuesday" and this week, at Axis Creation, I found something called The Lounge for sale. Now, what I was seeing was this HUGE creation, so I thought it was just the seat that came with it. Mainly because it said "The Lounge - seat" when I clicked on the box. 

But I was WRONG! I got the whole set! OMG! it's awesome! Look at this!

For 25L this is more then a deal!!

No photos this post. Just going through my inventory tonight. I haven't done it in a long time and there's a bunch of crap there now. :P

Harlow's tips for successful inventory clean out:

1. Start with your Lost and Found folder.

2. Don't worry about duplicates yet. 

3. Move on to your Objects folder and repeat step 2 as you go through it.

4. Develop an organization system that you like and can keep up.

5. Have fun! 

Yes, five simple steps to keep you for crying and pulling your hair out. :P

Sale!!

It's been so much fun this week getting to play around in Second Life! I hadn't done it in awhile and now I'm sorta hooked on it again. :D

Fixing up the place

The other day, the lovely April Manamiko gifted me with a BEAUTIFUL home. Unfortunately, it was too wide for my lot. :*(  However, the next time I move (and it may take a bit but I know I will) I'll set it up there! 


So today, I've spent trying to find a structure that is just right for me. I've finally found it but now I must fix it up! Here some pics of what I've been doing so far.


This is me doing a "shake my hiney with happiness* dance at finding a place AND the great ocean view I have.

Finally have my resting area done. yeah! (Again, notice the ocean! :D)

Found it!

Found me new land! Didn't take long as I found some ocean front property AND bought two parcels side by side so I have lots of space now! 

Now to figure out what to do with it!

time for a change

So, I went from crazy hair hunting to hunting for a new place to live in SL.

I'm not unhappy with my current location but, every now and then, I'll get the urge to move and set up shop in a new place. I attribute this to an uncle I have who. for 40 some years, would buy a fixer upper, fix it up, and sale it...just to move on to a new fixer upper. Not because he was flipping property, by the way, just because. :P

I don't know about anyone else but the SL Map (see above) has been how I find the places I live. I just teleport to location that is for sale (those in yellow) and if I like it, I'll abandon the land I have and then go buy it.

So far, it's all been a bust tho. Hopefully I'll find something soon.

52 Weeks of Color - Bright Turquoise

Finally caught up, yeah!!!!


This is another marketplace find that I feel in love with and is relatively cheap at $175L. I love the way the orange just brings out the turquoise and I love the style of it and I love how it fits me and... :D Well, I just love it!

I've been playing World of Warcraft (WoW) and it's sort of taken over from Second Life for the time being. 

Since I don't want to forget I have this journal, I'm gonna post about WoW and other things too. :D

This week, WoW's had it's version of Easter, which they call Noblegarden, and I've been hunting brightly colored eggs to get enough of the chocolates in them for a free mount. I've got enough chocolates, now I have to get to level 20 and it's all mine. :D
